Who We Cater For

At RVP Sharks, we offer footy for everyone aged 5 to 17, with teams across both mixed and girls-only competitions. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to take the next step in their development, there’s a team that fits:

• Mixed Teams: Auskick, U8s to U11s (Juniors) and U13s (Youth)
• Boys Pathway: U15s to U17s (Youth)
• Girls Pathway:
  • Under 8 Girls (non-contact, fun-first format)
  • Under 9 Girls (new team planned for 2025)
  • Under 11 Girls
  • Under 13, 15, 17 Girls (Youth competition)

We’re proud to support AFL Queensland’s push for equal participation in footy, with dedicated girls’ teams, female coaches, and inclusive programs that focus on fun, fitness, and confidence-building.

Transfers, Registration & FairPlay

• New Players: Register via PlayHQ. Birth certificate or passport is required for proof of age.
• Transfers: Coming from another club? Simply email your child’s name and date of birth to us, and we’ll guide you through the transfer process. Transfers open 1 February each year.
• FairPlay Vouchers: If your family holds a Centrelink Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, you may be eligible for a government voucher to reduce registration fees.

Pathways & Development

We also offer a Sharks Development Program, giving youth players the chance to build their leadership, fitness, and game awareness in an elite environment. Our players take part in wellbeing initiatives covering mental health, leadership, and social responsibility.

As part of the broader Sharks sporting family, our junior players are also connected to the Redland-Victoria Point Senior Club, who compete at the top level in Queensland through the QAFL. For aspiring players, this pathway creates a clear line from grassroots to state-level competition right here in our own backyard.
