We raised $80,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation!!
We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our local community over the past year with their support for our fundraising efforts for the Leukaemia Foundation and could not have been prouder when we handed over a cheque for $80,000 to David Hancock from the Leukaemia Foundation at our recent Charity Luncheon on 17th October.
Our Annual Leukaemia Foundation Charity Luncheon represented the conclusion of a full year of fundraising initiatives, including our Laps for Leukaemia 48-hour Charity Walk and our Harry Woodrow Memorial Golf Day. The funds raised from these events, together with the incredible generosity from our 265 guests at our Charity Luncheon who helped us raise an inspiring $37,000 within just 4 hours, we were able to reach a significant milestone by raising a total of $80,000!
We say a special thank you to our Major Sponsors CUB, Oatley Wines, Meat Addiction, Drummond Golf, and Moco Food Services, as well as Rebecca Young MP who also joined us at the Charity Luncheon. To our inspirational guest speakers Sam Thaiday and Wally Lewis, our fantastic MC Richard Champion and DJ (DJ KH) and of course the Leukaemia Foundation’s Ambassador – Humphrey B. Bear – who was an absolute crowd favourite.
To every individual, and local business who graciously donated prizes – every guest who attended our Annual Charity Luncheon – every person who walked alongside us at our 48-hour Charity Walk – and every team who played in our Harry Woodrow Memorial Golf Day – WE THANK YOU!
Our Leukaemia Foundation Charity Luncheon showed just what we can achieve when the community comes together for a cause. From where we began last year with raising just $26,000, to the overwhelming amount of $80,000 we raised this year we are now very excited for what 2026 has in store.
Thank you to everyone!!!
